"Madonna in the Leaves," 2 5/8" x 1 7/8", egg tempera on Kelmscott vellum
"Tulip Garden at Giverny," 2" diameter (shown enlarged for detail), oil over gold leaf on bone

Tulips and grape hyacinth at the Litchfield garden
I'm hoping Parklane Gallery (in Kirkland, Washington) accepts "Tulip Garden at Giverny" since it has a dimensional quality to it. I've sent two miniatures to the Parkland Miniature Show, and the other one is "Madonna in the Leaves," shown here at the top.

The box came out beautifully; it's hard for me to imagine how tiny it is, giving it an exquisite quality. Best of luck with the show!
Beautiful work Mona, and the box has turned out fantastically. How lovely Brooklyn looks with all the tulips!
Thanks so much Altoon. I'm hoping they'll accept this particular entry because it's a two-dimensional show, (even if this is a box lid, the object itself is three dimensional), so we'll see what happens.
Thanks Tracy!
Both of these miniatures are absolutely beautiful Mona and I wish you much success at the upcoming exhibition!!
Karen, thank you.
This turned out beautifully, Mona! Such tiny detail, even your signature is so tiny! I love the bits of sparkle in the leaves.
Good luck. I'm sure you will be accepted. Your paintings are beautiful.
Thanks Karen. Some of the miniature competitions have specific restrictions, but am hoping these two will have an opportunity to be seen in Washington.
Mona, your work is breathtaking. They are all incredible! I'm so inspired by you! And the photographs!!! WOW!! I'm sorry I haven't been visiting,I've missed much!
Suzanne, thanks you are so sweet to say so, but I need your inspiration too, so just keep on painting!! :-)
Mona, Every time I see your work it just leaves me breathless. It is just exquisite. These are no exception. If they don't accept it it will certainly be their (and their clients) loss. Crossing my fingers for you.
Thank you Carol, and thanks too for your good wishes, both of these were juried in, so that was great news.
