Life has been busy behind the scenes for me the past few weeks, but I hope to share an update soon on my Giverny bone box miniature. Even when I'm working hard, I try to carve out an hour for a nice walk each day, altering my route each time to make it more fun. Last week I finally remembered to bring along my camera to capture just a few of the sights of Spring, on my block or close by in my Brooklyn neighborhood. Within these scenes there's a miniature or two that I'll look forward to painting.

Thanks for the lovely tour; I love that stoop garden!
These flowers are so beautiful! the spring brings life everywhere. Our starlings and sparrows nesting under our roof are very busy raising their babies right now. :-)
These are so pretty...My favorite are the pots on the stairs. I think that would be an excellent miniature! The piece I did of garden pots sold awhile back at MASF. I think gardening paintings do really well.
Thanks everyone! Altoon and Deb, I like the stoop garden too, and this is one I will probably paint as a mini.
There's another favorite stoop garden I have in my neighborhood, but I'm waiting until the fullness of summer to catch that one. Last year at the bottom of it directly across the sidewalk under a tree she decided to plant corn, and it was quite a surprising sight by the end of the season between stoop and corn displays.
Wow, gorgeous photos. Looking forward to your next painting.
